The best micro-comics

What happens when you mix a cartoonist who really enjoys anime with a week without Internet? This, apparently. Can’t say I don’t like the result. I really dig her eyes in here.

Mr. Cake is a gentlecolt, a somewhat weak stallion that faints a lot, a loving father and husband, a good baker and the best swordmaster Equestria has ever seen, heir of the Dancing Death Style.

Or, well, that’s my headcanon. Not sure if it’s yours.

Anyway, I’m starting to think that the most similar thing I have to a ‘style’ in writing comics is WALL OF TEXT. I swear that when I write the script it doesn’t look so text-y. But give it to the cartoonist and KAZONGA now this is War and Peace, except it’s not.

Now, a couple things to say. As you may guess, this is inspired by (as in, this is fanart of) Egophiliac’s incredibly cool Slice of Life, [link] a comic that’s so good you should be ashamed of yourself if you didn’t read it. Also, Egophiliac is the woman behind Moonstuck [link] so you know what to do!

And the second thing to say: as you can see, the style in this comic is simpler. Micro decided to use a newspaper-y style I think? It reminds me of FoxTrot, for example. A very stylized FoxTrot, but the inspiration is there. 

So, hope you like it.

Ok, so you may have noticed that we’re kinda dead lately. As in, it’s ben ages since we posted anything. The reason why this is happening is pretty simple: right now, both Micro and me have exams. Final exams.

And that’s it, really. We don’t have time. 

But, as you might have guessed by the title of this journal, that’s not what I’m going to talk about. You see, Microtech is having trouble lately with his graphics tablet. Quoting: “I NEED TO USE THE STRENGHT OF THREE SUNS TO MAKE THIS THING WORK”. So he wants to buy a new one, but…

…We have no idea of what kind of tablet should he choose. So, as this is Tumblr, we thought that somebody in here might have any idea, or at least a recommendation. It would be very nice of you!

I know it isn’t about MLP, but I want to try something new. Recently, I found again and watched AGAIN all the “steps” or episodes from the series There she is, is a really good series, a bit old, but, whatever. The image is inspired from the main song of step 2, Happy Birthday to Me  - Bulldog Mansion.
